Susan Karpowicz is back for the second time to share her love of Scandinavian folk fiddle tunes with visitors to the Karl Oskar house. Her great-great grandfather was a well known fiddler in Western Norway, and it was at the encouragement from her Mother that she picked up the fiddle to learn the tunes that he had played. She also is drawn to the Swedish folk tunes as her
father’s Dad immigrated from Sweden.
Susan is currently involved with the Minnesota State Fiddler’s Association and also enjoys playing Scandinavian heritage dance tunes with the Upper Midwest Folk Fiddler’s group in St. Paul, MN.
