Fall clean-up and closing is occurring Thursday, October 13at 10am. All are invited to pitch in as the Karl Oskar House is prepared for winter.
We will have a display table at Chisago Age Well on October 21 10am – 1:30pm. We will be promoting our organization and future volunteer opportunities.
Our annual dues of $20.00 per person or $30.00 for family was due in April. It’s not too late to mail yours to P.O. Box 12, Lindstrom, MN 55045
Watch for the date in early December for the God Jul gathering in the work shed.

We welcomed two new volunteers this summer: Peggy Kamish Eral (who you’ll know from her years of working at Gladje Gallery) and Bob Cedergren a lifelong resident and active volunteer with the Chisago County Historical Society.

The board hosted theChisago Lakes Chamber of Commerce August monthly meeting on August 11. Pictured are: Nicole Vodicka from Empire Insurance, Bridgett & Katie Malchow, from the Chamber and Superintendant of Chisago Lakes School, Dean Jennissen who gave a school system update, introducing us to ChisagoLakesStrong.org. This fall, Jim Ross, a retired local, has been painting the Verstad (workshop) to assure that the restoration work of Dean, Pam and Denise will remain for many years.September 11th entertainment by Longtine and Platt was enjoyed by a good audience including 5 persons from Sweden who randomly found us. Here are two visiting with Susan, Marilyn and Betty.David Anderson from Minneapolis recently donated this map from Sweden that he has treasured for many years. Thank you for your generosity David! We enjoyed many musical events over the summer. Thank you to Marilyn Wahlstrom who led the scheduling and coordination of the musical groups. Picture above is Longtine and Platt on September 11 who visited us several times over the summer and was enjoyed by all.
